About

Thank you for stopping by my site and I hope you’ll come back as I add more and more content. I’m hoping to include Freelancer resources and topics about IT and hopefully provide some inspiration to young IT professionals or maybe those who are unemployed or looking for a way to supplement their income. Although I’m only 22 years old, I’ve a hard worker and very motivated to succeed in this life, after all I only got the one. So to get started so you can learn a little more about me I’ll tell you about my background, my experience in IT and with school and how I got where I am today and working as a full time freelancer and student.

For starters, my name is Seth Hall, I’m 22 years old and currently living where I was born and raised, Arkansas. I grew up in a family with Christian parents. My dad was a Law Enforcement Office for Izard and Baxter counties while my mom was a LPN and now an RN. I grew up on a farm and worked hard to be rewarded if I wanted something. I learned a young age nothing was handed to you and if you wanted something you had to go after it. I’ve applied that thinking in everything I do although at times it seems as if I stray off the path and procrastinate and lets things slip away. I graduated High School in May 2007 from Izard County Consolidated where I first actually learned and worked with computers. I moved from a sports school where I played football and baseball to a school with no football. I still played baseball but I really missed football and the friends I had made. I got started with computers in the 9th grade when I took a GIS course and from there just learned as much as I could whether in school or at home.

After graduation, I wasn’t 100% what I wanted to do, I got caught up in things I shouldn’t have and started a Community College for Business Technology but it wasn’t what I was wanting to go for. I shortly dropped out halfway into my first semester and for the next three years started doing word of mouth computer stuff and going to school online at UoP and AIU, both big mistakes and I still regret making them. I caught a break in May 2008 landing my first IT job working from home for a company called Telvisio. I provided consumer support on all kinds of equipment and skill sets and then in September of 2008 I was offered a position with NCR Corporation. After starting at NCR I moved fairly quickly starting at T1 POS Support, moving to L1 Self-Checkout and ATM Support and then a year and a half later I moved to L2 Advanced Support Team. I had started a small business in January 2011 and done work through a platform called OnForce and word of mouth and ended up leaving NCR in April 2011.

Since leaving NCR, I’ve done some help desk work for PlumChoice and AT&T ConnecTech and freelancing through sites like odesk.com, guru.com and Elance.com which is where I’ve gotten the majority of my work. I currently freelance full time and have worked on projects in the past and on-going for clients in the UK, US, Dubai, Malaysia, and Australia. I work 100% remote and currently have gotten all my bills down to the minimum to where I can save almost 90% of any income.

Thank you for again for coming to my blog and taking the time to learn a little more about me. I hope to become a valuable source of information and content to better aid those who maybe are thinking of going free fulltime to freelance or maybe supplement their full time income. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me.

Thank you,

Seth Hall
